Review: Watermelon with Taco Seasoning

On April 17, the Food Network's Facebook page published a video titled "The watermelon-cutting hack you’ve waited your whole life for" which can be viewed here. In the video they cut a watermelon like normal, but then they put something that shocked us all: taco seasoning.
You heard it right, they put taco seasoning on the watermelon. To push it even further, they cut off the natural grip on watermelon that Mother Earth so graciously provided us and put a toothpick through it.
This sounded so absurd that we had to try it. To put it simply: it was terrible.
The watermelon flavor was completely overpowered by the seasoning which made us all immediately cough in a manner like the infamous cinnamon challenge. Tacos are great. Watermelon is fantastic. But putting them together? No thanks. The watermelon season is short enough as it is so we'll take it fresh.
