Watermelon and Kiwi LaCroix Seltzer: I had high expectation for this beverage. I've been a pretty big fan of La Croix as a brand, and when I discovered they had a watermelon, even if also containing Kiwi, I was extremely excited. They come in packs of 8 tall cans, which as a novelty are fairly entertaining.
Cracking open the can and taking a long study of the smell should have been my first indication. I smelled....practically nothing. A hint, the slightest suspicion of something was all that floated past my flaring nostrils. Compared to the wild and strongly scented flavours I was used to, this was disappointing to say the least, but ever onward! A bad start but perhaps it could rally itself with a bold taste.
A bold taste however, it did not have. No, in fact, it has little taste at all. Delightfully fizzy, yes, but only a touch of flavor. Not nearly enough to satisfy this one's craving for watermelon and kiwi treats. In fact, the flavor was so light that I have a hard time describing it at all. I can say it was generically fruity, but there are notes of kiwi, no statements of watermelon. Just a small whisper of something, consumed again by a voracious fizz.
Overall, I rate this poorly, a 5/10. Certainly drinkable, but wholly disappointing, and not something I have any interest in purchasing again.
