Review: Trolli Sour Watermelon Sharks

At first smell, there is not a hint of watermelon. It actually resembles the aroma of cotton candy, with a touch of vanilla. The very first taste resembled watermelon, which surprised me greatly.

Another flavor that hit as I ate was the cloying sweetness of bubblegum. Throughout my chewing, the aftertaste of watermelon continued to linger. This taste was also mixed with the sour taste the label so aptly promoted. In terms of consistency, it was less of a gummy worm feel like I had expected, and actually more of a thick, gum like texture.

Unfortunately, the watermelon flavor that had filled my mouth during the consumption did not linger after I had swallowed the shark. Though I am not an ichthyologist, the shark shape seemed very accurate to me. Also, it was a much larger candy than I had anticipated.

Rating: 6/10 Would buy again (perhaps for guilty nights)
