Review: 5 Gum - Watermelon Prism

Presentation is beautiful. The sleek black packaging in combination with the phrase "A Mouthwatering Watermelon" really add to the "wow" factor. Even upon opening the plastic wrap, I could smell that distinctive, artificial, watermelon scent that was very similar to the Yankee Candle I reviewed yesterday.
The first 30 seconds of chewing were fairly good, but unfortunately couldn't get the authentic watermelon flavor. The fruitiness of the gum quickly subsided and the flavor of traditional bubblegum took over. If I could blow bubblegum I would try, but sadly I don't know how. Along with the bubblegum taste is a slight, lingering taste of fruitiness, but I'm confused if I actually taste watermelon or not. It loses its chewing appeal relatively quickly compared to Orbit or Trident.
It does leave a syrupy feel to the back of the throat after about 10 minutes. Not very appealing.
Would I buy it again? No. Will I finish the pack? Yes.
